1st May is Labour Day and in Torrevieja is an excuse for partying by pensioners in the grounds of the Aquopolis with live entertainment, free drinks and food, including a giant paella. There will be even more participation by British musicians this year in this all day long free party. This is immediately followed by the Feria del May with the opportunity to enjoy a taste of Andalusia for almost a week located in the Antonio Soria Park. This now fixed annual event includes, building a small “town” with bars offering Sevilliana dancing, local gastronomy and drinks, as well as some exciting equestrian events. 9th May is the Day of Europe with a cultural festival attached to this day which itself will be celebrated in the town plaza with a free concert by groups representing European countries. 17th May is Norway’s National Day and the Norwegians celebrate in the Jardines de las Naciones. http://www.aytoalmoradi.com/

1 st May is Labour Day and a Public Holiday. It is also Torrevieja's   "Pensioners in the Park" day with a huge all-day long festival in the Aquapolis Park with free buses from town centre, free drink, free food and free entertainment all day long.

1/5 th - Caravaca de la Cruz: fiestas including Moors & Christian parades.

1/7 - Novelda/ Orihuela/ Torrevieja: Crosses of May fiestas.

3 rd - Callosa de Segura festival.

6 th - Castalla celebrates the Focs de Sant Francesc.

7-11 May: Feria del Mayo in Torrevieja in the Antonio Soria Park.

9 th : European Day with morning concert in the main plaza. This will be accompanied by concerts,, events and the annual International Petanca Competition in the days after the May Fair.

10/13 - Biar: Moors & Christians.

12 - 15: San Isidro (15) is patron saint of agriculture with fiestas in many towns - San Isidro, Madrid, Almoradi, Dolores, Pilar de la Horadada, Benejama, Castalla, Salinas, both Hondons, la Romana, Cox, Orihuela and Rojales in the park at Quesada.

12/14 - Banyares de Mariola - Moors & Christians

14 th - Petrer, Moors & Christians.

17 th - Montforte del Cid holds a Romeria of Orito.

22 nd : Corpus Christi with procession Sunday before (18) or after (25). Valencia has a wonderful medieval Corpus parade dating bacck to Middle Ages.

26/28 th or 31 both Ibi and Formentera del Segura hold a festival.

31 st : Family day in Pueblo Principe
